WORK OVERVIEW & PROCESS
The following is an overview of the process of work Andy goes through when working on a project and the type of services he can offer through Andy Sinclair-Harris themed entertainment design.
Rough sketches, early design & brainstorming
Most common and present at the very start of a project are quick, black and white sketches. These sketches allow the client and other parties to fully begin to view a particular world.
Although this early artwork is usually quick and sketchy, the designs begin to flesh out the elements when a project begins from scratch and starts to put the project on a further path to success.
Concept art for a project ranges due to the nature of request and the type of project. Sometimes greyscale art and sketches provide enough for a client in terms of visualising the style and quickly communicating the design and story of a project.
Often, full-colour art is produced to fully realise a project and fully inhabit a world.
Andy is also sometimes called upon to create storyboards for an attraction or experience, showcasing the beats of the story.
With years of experience within the industry, Andy has taken several of his designs through the process of design, refining, construction through to installation and direction.
One of the main aspects Andy has had experience with throughout his roles, has been the design and implementation of intellectual property (IP) characters, such as the Disney and PIXAR family of characters.
